Our Methods of Delivering Change
Raise Awareness
We believe in raising awareness reaching out to women, young people and relevant stakeholders through information dissemination in order to help them in improving their unwanted health and socio-economic conditions to better their lives. Ignorance is one of the greatest enemies to mankind. Information leads to problem finding + problem solving =a well-designed life.
Education and Training:
Emphasis on learning is very important to achieve sustainable social development. Life skills development, training on specific topics and education in general are important interventions so that we equip various partners and stakeholders to deal with the various challenges as they emerge. Training outcome will be measured assess the effect of various initiatives and gather information to support growth.
Research
In a bid to attain sustainable development, there’s need to be more serious in engaging researchers in all sectors of the society, which gives room to extensive study and research into specific women and young people needs. Research makes land, labour and capital (the classical factors of production) to become secondary to knowledge as the primary resource for the new economy, which is essential in the process of providing solutions to the demanding challenges of the modern world. Research must be done as a means and necessity which will inform decisions which will transform peoples’ lives. Research must inform establishment, delivery of tangible and implementable recommendations.
Innovation:
In the face of intense worldwide competition, YAL Group have reorganized around a philosophy of innovation, renewal, and group learning to survive. Our innovation philosophy is flexible and project driven. We believe the modern economy requires talent more than academic qualifications, in that regard we let supreme ideas prevail through innovation in solving human development problems.
Advocacy:
We provide a medium for advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations against all forms of human development problems. We realize that after awareness raising, there is a need for strategic advocacy to mobilize stakeholders in government and other policy making environments to put in place legislative and other policy measures which protect the rights of women and youth to empower them.
